THE MILITARY JEEP CLUB OF QUEENSLAND

A four day event held over the Queen's Birthday long weekend, June 2009 at the Walker property on the Burnett River, Bundaberg, Queensland Australia. This event was huge! The LVT-4 Buffalo amtrac (used in Spielberg's upcoming tv series 'The Pacific') was the star of the show, along with a DUKW and GPA jeeps constantly giving joyrides. The events were a beach drive, a forest trip, a WW2 jeep trailer race across a dam, floating a WWII jeep in a tarpaulin (incredible!) and using a WWII Kenworth wrecker to lift a jeep into the DUKW. The club extends its grateful thanks to the Walker family for the massive effort in putting on what would have to be one of the most exciting and enjoyable HMV events held in a very long time (we think!).
