Brisbane Floods, January 2011

During the devastating floods that hit Brisbane between 12th-14th January 2011, the water in Rocklea rose several metres.
Here are some pictures of the MJCQ club house and surrounds taken by Nigel and Leisa Ward, and Dave Stafford.
It is estimated about 1.1m of water engulfed the club house.

Working Bee, 15th January 2011

On Saturday the 15th there was a very good turnout of club members who brought cleaning equipment and put in a lot of elbow grease to get the club house cleaned out. By mid-afternoon the floor was drying out and the chairs and tables were back in.
